We have already had several freezes and the leaves are falling...! Every day the landscape is a little browner...a little gray...the leaves on the trees are turning brown and losing their color as the wind whips them from the trees and they litter our yards, flowerbeds, and porches.
Although we don't have really harsh snowy weather here in Texas...it might be 80 degrees in the afternoon and in the 20's by evening...often with lots of wild weather in between! So far...this fall has been quiet...but we did have a very early freeze.
Our fall is sometimes very subtle...and sometimes we get the brilliant colors too. You just never know. Weather in Texas is very versatile!
I love the springtime with all the flowers blooming but I also love the winter...I always think of it as a time for all the plants to rest and gather their strength for the warmer weather....!
